It’s an annual tradition in Wood Buffalo, the river breakup pool! There’s normally one at nearly every office in the city, so we’ve decided to pool (pun intended) all of them together into one big one in support of a great cause, KidSport Wood Buffalo a local charity that helps kids facing financial barriers access recreational activities in the region.

The cost to enter the pool is $20, half the proceeds will go to KidSport the other half will go to the eventual winner!

Tickets will remain on sale thru the earlier of 4/27 at 6pm or when the River is declared “Broke” in Athabasca.

Closest to the official river breakup as declared by the RMWB (not just when the river breaks, but when there is no longer a risk of flooding) without going over wins!
